I have been in the Real Estate business since 1994 in one form or another. Starting in the Apartment business I’ve had positions in various companies working on different types of real estate ranging from office, industrial, retail, and of course residential homes. I was born and raised in Southern California, lived in Indiana for many years, and settled in the Central Coast of California with my wife because its near family and we love this area. I’m with Keller Williams Realty Central Coast and I am very excited about being affiliated with Homes for Heroes.

This program resonates with who I am. Teachers especially in my mind are undervalued in our community. We learn from them and pretend that we didn’t need them. I don’t take them for granted. Police, Fire, and Military of course all deserve special privilege because they provide our freedom and core civilian functions. The concept of helping these public service heroes is just the right thing to do. Its rare to have an opportunity to be a part of something that is truly beneficial to everyone involved and genuinely purposeful like this. I am grateful for this program and look forward to participating in its success.

Surviving spouses of Service members killed in Iraq or Afghanistan would be guaranteed one year of protection against the foreclosure or forced sale of their home under legislation introduced by Rep. Frank Kratovil, Jr. Kratovil’s bill, HR 4664, was referred to the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. In 2008, as foreclosures in the U.S. were on the rise, Congress included in a broader economic recovery bill a new protection for mobilized National Guard and reserve members being given a way to potentially use military duties to avoid financial responsibilities. Separate legislation pending in the House would extend the foreclosure moratorium for another five years.

“The Thunderchief 5k is a 5k (3.1 mile) walk/run that is put on and hosted by the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 105. Each year our detachment hosts a 5k run/walk that serves as a Boulder-Boulder qualifying race as well as a fund raising event for various charity organizations that change each year.

-The Thunderchief 5k walk/run will be taking place on Saturday, 24 April 2010. The race will take place on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder, Colorado. The race is scheduled to start at 8:00 am and finish at 11:00 am. We project that over 400+ participants will attend the event. The demographic for the event consists primarily of 18-30 year old, healthy, active adults from the Boulder area, both male and female.”

All proceeds from these event will be donated to the Homes for Heroes Foundation!
